I got this from a friend at work and really enjoyed it. Of course it is the first in a series so I am hoping to read more about this couple soon. In parts it was a little romance novelish, but I just skipped those pages and I did feel like it was relevant to the story. I love that the lady is a nurse, but she was much more attentive in nursing school than I was. I would be toast if I needed all the skills she remembers. This kind of reminded me of The Pillars of the Earth, but the nursing stuff kept my attention better than the architecture stuff.
